awana grand prix {a scrapbook layout}

Thanks for all the nice comments on my last post. So glad I'm not the only one that gets a little overwhelmed sometimes.
I have a quick layout to share with you today.
One of the last events we attended at our old church  was the AWANA Grand Prix. An all day event for kids to race pinewood derby cars that they build with their parents. Two of our boys elected to participate (Bryce decided he was too old.)
It was a fun day-lots of laughter and time spent with good friends but it was also pretty bittersweet, knowing that we likely wouldn't be spending much time with most of these kids going forward.

 I've been hoarding that Mind's Eye patterned paper for awhile, just waiting for the right subject. :)
