I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was full of family activities-including getting family photos taken! So exciting-this is our first family photo since 2009-I can't wait to see how they turned out.
I didn't do much scrapbooking over the long weekend but I did manage to finish all of the base pages for my holiday mini album. Now all I will need to do is print the photos and add embellishments each week.
I think I will borrow an idea from Becky and use post it notes on each page until I get my photos printed to show where each photo should go.
I wanted to share the cover and a couple more pages with you-I'm using We R Memory Keeper's Merry & Bright collection. I used a very muted line last year, so I wanted something bright and cheery this year. I decided to use an actual 6x6 AC album rather than binder rings-we'll see how I feel when it's all said and done.
Here's the cover:
And some of my base pages:
Oh and I almost forgot to mention-look what Katie and all of her fun posts convinced me to order on Black Friday for 2013:
Yes, that's the Amber Project Life kit-I got the core kit, the page dividers, and the matching cardstock. Sigh. Let's hope I can do this.

your mini looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteyou will love project life- i have really enjoyed it! i do have to say that i am totally changing my vision for next year- 7 photos a week is way too much for me- so i am moving towards 3-4-- just way too much work with working, DT commitments, life, kids, homework, etc-- but i am so glad that i have done it!
This is wonderful! :) I decided last January to give myself a year to work up to whether I could handle a year of Project Life or not ... and I'm going to jump in starting in the new year! Good luck to us both! :)
ReplyDeleteYour mini is so cute! I think that I am jumping on the PL bandwagon as well, but I want the Olive Edition and it is not coming out until next month, so no Black Friday deals for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing because I thought, oh someone has the same name as me AND does post it's for pics? Hahaha! Your album looks fantastic, the papers you used are so fun! One of my favorite projects of yours :) I love project life, I don't do a photo a day, I take three a week, works perfectly for us! I just ordered the cherry edition for next year. I paid full price, must have missed the BF deal :(
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHH! I see a Project Life kit!!!! This is awesome! I picked up the Clementine kit on Black Friday too. Not that I need it yet, but I couldn't resist!
ReplyDeleteYour mini is so cute! I love Becky's post it note idea. I can't wait to see how the pages look as you add pictures!
That is really exciting about the family photos! Waiting for the pictures to come back is the hardest part (for me, at least!)
what a great mini album. I can't wait to see what it looks like with the photos.
ReplyDeleteWe need to get a new family photo done too.
Adorable mini!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am on the fence still about PL.
Thought I would do it this year, but then chickened out.
I think it would be fun to do though!
