scraplifting myself {scrapbook layouts}

Sometimes when you see a good thing, it makes sense to just keep doing it.
When I switch out 8" x 10" photos of the boys from frames on the walls, I usually try to scrap the ones that have just come down. I love how those big photos look on my layouts. I rarely print bigger than a 4" x 6", so it's always fun to work with the big photos.
I typically sketch out one layout and use it for all for photos, so they all look similar in the scrapbook.
This weeks layouts were no exception.

I started with Jackson's layout-added a cool little banner at the bottom for his personality then moved onto Moose's layout...

Decided to switch things up a little more with the twins' layouts and give them their own chipboard letters...

And called it done.
{Patterned Paper and Embellies: Bella Blvd, Corrugated Letters: Jillibean, Brown Coaster Letters: Project GinX}
What do you do with the photos you take out of frames? Do you scrap them or just put them in albums?

  2. These are perfect. Good for you for scrapping them.
    Your boys are beautiful. I have three boys myself and love being mom to boys. It's so much fun. Mine are a little older than your's though.

  3. These are wonderful! Love the big, striking photos and the names down the side. I actually don't take the photos out. I leave them in the frame, adding the newest to the top. I love going through them year after year to see how my daughter has changed.

  4. I love that you keep the layouts similar so they all go together in the books!

    Using the 8x10 photo is amazing. It just looks so wonderful!

    I've never really changed out my photos yet, we only moved a year ago, so I haven't had "new" pictures since I set up my frames. My mom always stacked them up, but I really like the idea of scrapping them!
