project life week one {project life 2013}

Have I mentioned how very excited I am to be doing this project? How determined I am to keep up with this?
Jules over at A Beautiful Day is using OhLife to help her keep up with Project Life. Based on her recommendation, I signed up and I have to say I am loving that little email reminder to capture important thoughts about my day. As I sat down today to edit my photos for week two, I also went over to OhLife to fill out my journal cards-so very easy!
I am really loving this system.
Here's my cover page for 2013:

Didn't add too many extra embellsihments-just a few things to make it OURS.

And here's our week one spread:

I am so very happy with this spread-can't wait to work on week two!
Looking forward to see everyone else PL pages-share a link in the comments.
I'll be linking up over at the Mom Creative. :)

easter adventures {a scrapbook layout}

Finished Week One of Project Life Monday night-I think I'm learning how I want to approach it-still trying to decide if one week or two weeks at a time of printing makes more sense.
I'll share Week One on Friday. :)

In the meantime-here's the other Easter layout I did for 2012.

I kind of love white cardstock right now-used a nice mix of old and new product on this one-OLD-AC Flair, Making Memories letter stickers, Sassafrass flower embellies. NEW-Echo Park patterned paper

I'm pretty excited about how much I've scrapped for 2012 photos-now, I just have to go back and tackle those BOXES of photos from the other years! :)

Liebster Award

Katie from Katie Stories is passing this on to blogs with under 200 followers and since I'm a little bored on my lunch break, I'm going to go ahead and accept that. :)

"Liebster" is a German word meaning sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing or welcome. The Liebster award is granted to new, up and coming bloggers with great potential and fewer than 200 followers. According to the rules of the Liebster Award, I am to answer 11 questions from the nominating website, chose 11 people to whom I will pass on this honor, and then make up 11 more questions, which the new recipients must then in turn answer.

11 Blogs I'm Nominating:
  (I stole this from Katie) So here's the thing...I hate picking only 11 people, because I love all of the blogs that I read, and I don't want anyone to feel left out! So, if you have under 200 followers, I'm nominating you! And even if you have more than 200, you can still answer all of the questions and such if you'd like, because that's fun! Yay! Everybody wins :)
That was fun! Hope other people play along-I love getting to know my fellow bloggers!

this boy {a scrapbook layout}

I'm a pretty lucky momma-I have four handsome, kind, smart and funny young men that I get to call my sons. They are alike in many ways and different in many ways. My 8 year old, Jackson, is the one most like me-both in terms of appearance and temperament. He's my only brown eyed boy-with big brown eyes that will melt your heart.
He's more serious than his brothers-very, very much a "rule follower". His teacher tells me he is a leader in his class and that his classmates look to him for cues on how to behave.
This boy...I'm just so proud of him, I can't even begin to express it.

So thankful for this boy in my life.

easter eggs {a scrapbook layout}

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! Ours was so much fun-and while it didn't snow ON Christmas, we got about 8 inches of snow in the days following Christmas. It was pretty exciting to go out and build snowmen and igloos. :)
I just ordered all my prints for my Holiday Mini album, so hopefully I'll have that done to share with you in the next couples of weeks.
In the meantime, I wanted to share an Easter layout I recently did.
I actually finished this while at Archiver's for their crop night. I decided to use one of their die cut tools to make the eggs-I wanted to include a lot of colorful patterned paper but didn't want to overwhelm the layout.

It's not often that I get to use pink on my layouts-so this was FUN!

Have a great weekend!
