The One Where I Scraplifted...

Ah scraplifting...the art of taking someone's else sketch or layout concept and copying it. I do it. I have the Becky Higgin's Sketches books and use them all the time. I love Allison Davis' sketches.
I even scraplift from myself. Gasp. It's true. Sometimes, I'm just too lazy to reinvent the wheel or sometimes, I just really love the way something turned out.
I created this layout of my son Jackson's photos from a family photo shoot and loved the look of it so much I replicated it for my other two boys (Brody wasn't born yet, so no photos of him).

Bryce:

Jarron:

The only difference (besides the cardstock color) is the use of some additional elements on Jackson's layout. I used twine for the very first time on his layout. I have to admit I'm kind of hooked-good stuff!

All materials are Sassafrass except the twine (We R Memory Keepers).

Do you scraplift? Who is your inspiration?

  2. i often do three layouts that are nearly identical for each of the kids...don't see a thing wrong with that!
